Multiple shares

Anyone in a meeting can share documents. If several users are sharing documents, you can choose which to view.

Mac to PC

Application sharing is cross platform so you can share documents between different operating systems.

Flexible access

VuCall can be used to communicate from anywhere with a broadband internet connection – fixed, 3G or Wi-Fi. Customers and suppliers can join your meetings even if they don’t have a VuCall account of their own.

Number of participants

VuCall meetings support up to 100 participants. You can see up to 9 on your screen at any one time, or choose to see fewer.

Guest invites

You can invite anyone to join your meeting room, whether they have a VuCall account or not. The guest user will be prompted to download the VuCall application and can be online in your meeting room within minutes.

Voice Only Calls

Your clients and colleagues won’t always have access to the internet or a computer, but they can still phone into your meeting from anywhere in the world.

Meeting owners can also call out to anyone on a mobile or fixed phone line and invite them to the meeting.

Please note, the voice call-out feature cannot be used to call EMERGENCY SERVICES.

Natural experience

High qulity video meetings up to HD quality

HD quality

You can receive up to 720p HD image resolution on your PC, using the recommended equipment, for fullscreen TV-like picture quality. The wide audio frequency response delivers clear hi-fi sound well above the quality of a phone call.

Face to face

A face to face VuCall meeting, with communication aided by visuals and body language, is much more effective than a long telephone call or several rounds of emails. It can also help you build better relationships with your customers, suppliers and business partners.

Focus on speaker

The current speaker will automatically be given focus so even if there are a large number of participants you will always know who’s talking.

Software features

The VuCall client is simple to use but has all the features you’ll need.

Presence

Your ‘presence’ is displayed in the VuCall system so others know when you are online and available or in a meeting. VuCall can be used wherever you have a broadband connection so your presence is easily communicated.

You can leave the VuCall application minimised in your taskbar, so if a colleague calls you, a notification will pop up on your screen giving you the option to accept or decline the video call.

Making a call

To call a contact just search for their name in the VuCall portal and click the call button. They will be instantly notified of the call and will have the choice to accept or decline. You can also add contacts to your speed dials to speed up the process of making a call.

Software options

As a VuCall user you can mute your microphone or hide your video feed at any time.

VuCall will work with the default settings in almost all scenarios, but there are many settings which can be configured further if you wish. This includes anything from selecting your preferred audio and video peripherals to configuring your firewall and NAT traversal settings.

Customisation of interface

You can control how many people you see on screen, how much of your desktop is used for the meeting and how much for your applications. You can also choose between display modes where you see an enlarged view of the current speaker or equal sized images for each participant.

Meeting rooms

There are three ways to make a video call using VuCall. You can:

  • call another user directly from the VuCall portal, this type of call is one-to-one
  • use your personal meeting room for informal meetings of 3 or more people
  • use a public meeting room that has been set up for larger, more formal meetings, for example training or a sales team meeting

Protect your meeting room

Usually anyone on your VuCall network can join your meeting room, but sometimes you’ll want to keep a meeting private. In this case you can either PIN protect your room – only giving the PIN to those you would like to join, or you can lock your room so that no more participants can join the meeting.

Room URL

Other users can join your meeting room by following a link to your room URL which you can send via email, IM or by using Outlook Calendar. As VuCall allows guest invitations, you can have a video meeting with almost anyone in your business network.

Meeting controls

The VuCall portal shows a list of all users in your meeting room. You have the control to mute, hide or disconnect any user in your meeting room. You can also invite other users to join your meeting.
