Using the video desktop toolbar

What are the three green buttons on the toolbar?

These buttons are used to personally control your audio and video. Clicking them toggles them on and off and when they are off they turn red. The audio controls also have sliders to set the volume of the speaker and microphone.

How can I arrange the video windows on my desktop?

There are several ways you can manage your desktop layout to your own personal preference. First you can use the usual Windows (or Apple Mac) resizing controls to maximise, reset or reshape you main window. Within the main window you can use the first button (Layout) on the toolbar to choose how many meeting participants you want to display and whether to give the active speaker a larger share of the main window. The second button on the toolbar (Maximise) can also be used to maximise or reset the main window size. If you are viewing a shared application or document you can undock it from the main window by double clicking on it. Once undocked it can be moved and sized independently and if you have a second display you can move it there. To return it to the main window double click the shared application again.

How can I share a document with other people in the meeting?

Click the down arrow on the third button from the left on the toolbar. You will see a list of open applications/documents. Click the one you want to share. Click the button again to stop the share. You will not see your shared document (application) in your video window but in its own window on your desktop. Each person in the meeting can share one open document (application) at a time.

Are there any limitations to the type and size of documents that can be shared?

No. What you share is what you see on your computer.

How can I change the video or audio settings?

For a simple on/off for privacy or to adjust the volume use the buttons on the toolbar. If you need to select different equipment, for example an external webcam or headset, click the Configuration button on the toolbar (gear wheel icon) and select the devices tab. Here you can select from connected equipment and click Apply/OK. For certain webcams you can also make setup changes here.

If you are not using a USB connected headset or speakerphone select both the echo cancellation and automatic gain control check boxes.

If you are using USB connected audio devices uncheck the echo cancellation box but leave the automatic gain control box checked.

Where can I find real time technical data about my video meeting?

Click the Configuration button on the toolbar (gear wheel icon) and select the Status tab and click Show Conference Status. Here you will find details of the bandwidth available and the actual sent and received bandwidth. You will also find the image resolution of each meeting participant and their video frame rate. There is also a CPU load indicator. All of this data can be used to help diagnose any local operating problems. If the Configuration button is indicating red on the toolbar you will also find a warning message here to help resolve the problem, for example if your available bandwidth is very low.
